Charice on GLEE Season 2!

Charice, the 18-year-old girl, whose singing
career rocketed after appearing on Ellen DeGeneres’ and Oprah Winfrey’s talk shows, in short she can be called as a "LUCKY BEING." I am not really a fan of Charice nor a hater but I'm interested on how is she gonna be on the famous TV series GLEE. When I first heard the news that she will be a GLEE cast I was like " really, huh. Let's see". and then news came up about her preparations for this show. She had her face botoxed! OH NO! she's too young for botox. haha. What did she have in her mind?! I just can't believe that an 18-year-old well skin toned little girl would want to undergo BOTOX! but I can't do anything about it. Actually I'm not a Glee fan also it's just that the idea of having Charice on a musical and television phenomena(GLEE) aroused my interest and questions popped up on my mind. Like, what will be her role? Is she one of the lead actresses? haha. Then the day came, the pilot episode of GLEE season 2 and Charice's debut as Sunshine Corazon the exchange student from the Philippines , just like what Rachelle Berry (being played by Lea Michele) said when they were in the girl's comfort room. Honestly, I was a bit disappointed on how Charice performed in front of the camera, it was like she was feeling awkward while acting. WEIRD! haha. And after few seconds of disappointment on her acting skills I just realized that I'm having a goosebump all over me while Charice was having a duet with Lea Michelle, singing Telephone (by Lady GAGA and Beyonce ). In fairness to her (Charice) she's really good in singing I mean REALLY GOOD! It's her voice that I like. haha. And when she sang Beyonce's Listen, OH MY! I couldn't recognize myself anymore as a person who's not into her. haha. I felt excited to every lyrics that she'll say, in that part of the show, I couldn't take my eyes and ears off the television. haha. Charice's voice is really AMAZING! And as the episode goes I was kinda disappointed that Charice might not be one of the lead actresses in the musical and televison phenomena series (GLEE). And it made me asked myself and doubt at the same time, is Charice really that famous in the US just like what the news are saying here in the Philippines or is she just a "LUCKY BEING" who got the chance to meet DeGeneres and Winfrey? Not all "LUCKY BEINGS" are famous some are just lucky at a time. Will we still get to see Sunshine Corazon on the other episodes?  Overall, I liked GLEE's first episode for this season . Honestly, Im not a Gleek on season one but I've got to watched some episodes of it and now, I might be one because I want to give the benefit of the doubt for Charice. I'm not her critique I'm just CURIOUS.  We'll see! And for Charice's debut performance as an "actress", it's just like a so-so ( not so good, not so bad) but she definitely needs lots of workshop when it comes to her acting skills. And for her singing, 'twas SUPERB! I'm not her ( Charice's)fan still, but I still want to see her perform as Sunshine Corazon, the exchange student from the Philippines. And oh, before I forgot, my dad who's really her fan just said that " Charice is really putting the Filipinos' pride to the top."

OUR WEDSITE. soon! :)

haha. I am now patiently making our WEDSITE! it's fun pala and needs alot of patience talaga. haha. my eyes are having blurred visions na but I'm still on the GO to finish what I can put on our wedsite. It was so hard to choose for the design, haha simply because I'm "MAARTE". haha. but thank God I got to choose one for about an hour of searching and previewing. The Wedsite made me more excited to book our DREAM SUPPLIERS. haha. I wanna put them on the corresponding tab. haha.WHAT I'VE LEARNED TODAY FROM MY WEDDING PREP IS TO HAVE THE LONGEST PATIENCE YOU COULD EVER PROVIDE. WEDDING PREPARATION AIN'T ALWAYS FUN, IT'S ALSO ONE OF THE BEST SOURCE OF STRESS FOR US TO-BE-BRIDES ( i can't say "soon-to-be" because im not one. haha) BUT WHAT'S SURE ABOUT WEDDING PREP IS THAT IT IS ALWAYS EXCITING! this is VOOLADESHCKA logging off for now. ~xoxo~

Interesting WEDDING reads. :)

A little something fun about weddings. Hope you enjoy it.

The Wedding Veil
Many stories enshroud the wedding wail’s history - as centuries, cultures and civilization pass, its symbolism changes meaning and evolves according to the times.
In the time of the Roman Empire, brides possessed brightly colored veils to ward off evil spirits. People believed that demons schemed to steal bride from their future husbands before any marriage could take place. The veil acted as cocoon, completely concealing the bride's face, to deter the spirits from pursuing their malicious intentions.
The veil has also become a popular symbol for a bride's chastity. Other stories say that bridal veils were borne out of cultures that necessitated arranged marriages. Veils were said to cover a bride's face so a man could not back out of a deal, even if he was not attracted to his bride.

The White Wedding Dress
Nothing spells tradition more than a simplistic rhyme passed on from centuries before:
by oscar dela renta
Married in White, you have chosen right
Married in Green, ashamed to be seen
Married in Blue, your love will always be true
Married in Pearl, you will live in a whirl
Married in Brown, you will live in town
Married in Red, you will wish yourself dead
Married in Yellow, ashamed of your fellow
Married in Pink, your spirit will sink
Married in Grey, you will go far away
Married in Black, you will wish yourself back

Something Old, Something New...
Something old, something new
Something borrowed, something blue
And a silver six pence in your shoe.
Something Old. This serves as the bride's link to yhe history of her family, a connection to the past. It can also symbolize ties with old friends that will hopefully remain strong even after the marriage takes place. Something New. This bespeaks hope for the future. Anything from a brand new bridal dress to a brand new hairstyle can symbolize the optimism and anticipation a bride feels for her married future. Something Borrowed. A strong sign of good luck, this indicates the link the bride has between herself, and family and friends. Something Blue. This color symbolizes fidelity and everlasting love. This tradition is said to have originated in ancient Israel, where brides wore blue ribbons in their hair and as trim in their matrimonial dress to symbolize their faithfulness and modesty. Silver six pence in a shoe. This symbolizes the prosperity and wealth that a couple hopes for once they are married.

The Wedding Date
Today, picking the right date to get married depends on available schedules (for the practical), feng shui (for the superstitious) and memorable events (for the sentimental).
In England, a traditional rhyme summarized which day out of the week was best for getting hitched.
Monday for wealth
Tuesday for health
Wednesday best day of all
Thursday for losses
Friday for crosses
And Saturday no luck at all.
Another rhyme speaks of which month out of an entire year is best for tying the knot:
Married when the year is new, he'll be loving, kind and true.
When February birds do mate, You wed nor dread your fate.
If you wed when March wind blows, joy and sorrow both you'll know.
Marry in April when you can, Joy for Maiden and for Man.
Marry in the month of May, and you'll surely rue the day.
Marry when June roses grew, over land and sea you'll go.
Those who in July do wed, must labor for their daily bread.
Whoever wed in August be, many a change is sure to see.
Marry in September's shine, your living will be rich and fine.
If in October you do marry, love will come but riches tarry.
If you wed in bleak November, only joys will come, remember.
When December snows fall fast, marry and true love will last.

The Wedding Cake
Many people may take the wedding cake for granted, but truth be told, several customs and traditions are linked to it, making it a rich part of the culture weddings across many continents.
The cutting of the cake. The first slice, which the husband and wife make together, symbolizes the unity that binds them in their wedded future.

The Wedding Toss
Confetti. Confetti, in Italy, refers to sweet confections without which Italian wedding would not be complete. In Roman times, honey-coated seeds were used but the transiting has grown to include candy-coated almonds set inside tulle flowers as well as raisins and nuts. Sugar was seen as a symbol of fertility, and today, these sugared confections have been replaced by colorful bits of paper. Rice. Pagan traditions had grains and seeds thrown over the happy couple-symbolizing the fertility of crops. This tradition began in oriental countries and spread later on to the West during the Middle Ages. Coins. In Southern France, wedding guests toss coins at the children who would wait just outside the chapel doors. They would also shower them with dragees, French delicacies made of chocolate covered almonds.

JEWELRY by FRANCO: RC & Mark ~ Tagaytay with a Twist

Tagaytay with a TWIIISSTTT! his PROPOSAL. :)

Years before, I gave a damn to the cut, carat, clarity and color of my "engagement-ring-to-be". I woke up this morning with the room on a dark mode(weird) only candles on glass lighting it good thing foggy sa tagaytay kahit umaga na and medyo rainy kaya madilim ( kaya napanindigan daw nila mga plano nila), having the taal volcano view, with petals on the floor, balloons in the air, a BIG heart pillow with the iloveyou word on the side, three bars of chocolate, a dozen of red flowers and a delicious chocolate cake and oh the bountiful varied BREAKFAST in BED wondering "where is my friend sleeping beside me?," when a very familiar man, went down on his knee while opening a box and asked me, " ASAWA KO WILL YOU MARRY ME?." crying, not sure if everything was just a dream or what, having the morning breathe and the morning glory(haha) and may hair all messed up I answered him, "EVERYDAY ASAWA KO, YES I WILL MARRY YOU!," not giving a damn on how my ring looked like, because all i cared about that time is how did all these things happen when i was just right on the bed sleeping. (HE's such A GENIUS doing all that with the help of our friends) and OH! with all fairness my RING IS JUST SIMPLY SOOOO FANTABULOUS THE WAY I JUST DREAMED IT TO BE! (credits to Jewelry by  Franco)It ain't gonna be too soon, THAT was just his way of asking me TO SAVE A DATE FOR OUR DREAM WEDDING.
